Family Fun in Costa Rica

By land or by sea ('scuse me Mr. Revere) we continually create perfect family adventures for our travelers.  "Strive For a Perfect Day, Every Day" is our slogan.

This week we are featuring Costa Rica, the country of Pura Vida --The "Pure Life"

Costa Rica has a very privileged spot in the heart of Central America because it touches both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.  In Costa Rica you can travel from one coast to the other in just three hours by car.  By plane it's just 45 minutes, so you could include almost any venue into a day.
Here is a country so close to us, which gives you the chance to immerse yourself in so many natural wonders.  Our insiders will show you and your family the most special sights and give your family an understanding of the culture of the country.  Nature will be an inherent part of your vacation, whether you're birding for toucans on a hike or traipsing through Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve where you can get an aerial view of Costa Rica from the Sky Walk.  You may even get to see the rare Resplendent Quetzal.

Think about exciting things for an active family, like taking a zip-line adventure through the rainforest, or taking a jungle river-rafting excursion with an expert wildlife guide.  You can learn about what it's like to live in Costa Rica while you visit an organic pineapple plantation or visit with a local farm family or just follow a trail to the base of a waterfall or just relax on a beach.  To sum it up, Costa Rica has so much to offer as a family vacation spot and it's so close that we all should visit.

Cost Rica - by Sea

Visiting Costa Rica by ship has some special benefits too, as you can go through the Panama Canal.  (We should all see it at least once.)  The Panama Canal lock system is an amazing engineering achievement and is sure to fascinate the entire family.  You can also visit some UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Did you know that Costa Rica has four species of monkeys?  Well, Costa Rica has the howler, spider, capuchin and squirrel monkeys--good to know for Trivial Pursuits.  You will always have a naturalist on board who is deeply knowledgeable about Costa Rica and Panama and will share their passion for the region with you and your family.  Costa Rica seems to me to be the perfect family vacation...it has something for all ages!

Call or come on in and chat with us about Costa Rica, our continental "Land Down Under".
